Production Packer

Responsibilities

• Make boxes with appropriate labels attached
• Transfer products to appropriate packaging using hands, packing forks, or other methods
• Inspect products for conformance to specifications and use gauges to check dimensions
• Notify supervisors or operators immediately when quality problems are detected
• Discard products that do not meet quality specifications
• Seal containers and place them on skids utilizing a box lifter
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and safe work methods
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Manual dexterity and the ability to stand and perform repetitive motions
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships
• Reliability, initiative, and a commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
