Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment to deliver production schedules, including grain transfer during steeping, germination, and kilning
• Follow production process cards and recipes while accurately documenting process data
• Perform daily routine sampling, visual inspections, and moisture content analysis to maintain product quality
• Maintain plant hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP plans, including cleaning and pressure washing
• Work closely with the engineering department to report faults and support the CMMS to minimize downtime
• Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols, including the use of correct PPE and reporting hazards or near misses

Requirements

• Experience working in a factory environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet process timings and quality requirements
• Ability to work on a rotating shift basis
• Good communication skills
• Desirable: Previous experience in food or malting production
