Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment including extruders, pumps, silos, and packaging lines safely and efficiently
• Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers, including manual cleaning and installation of die heads
• Monitor extruder control panels and make adjustments based on processing parameters and supervisor instructions
• Set up and operate mixers to blend chemicals, liquids, pigments, and other ingredients according to work orders
• Verify raw material weights and types prior to the batching process to ensure conformance to standards
• Package and store produced products, ensuring correct labeling of Product ID and weights
• Conduct quality sample collection and interact with the laboratory to ensure product conformity
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while adhering to all plant safety and quality regulations

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in a compounding process or equivalent work experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift license
• Strong math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to understand SI units (m, kg, liter, etc.) and relevant health and safety regulations
• Ability to support a flexible schedule, including overtime, as required
