About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow start-up and shutdown procedures
- Set up and adjust plant parameters to meet production and quality targets
- Record production parameters hourly
- Routinely sample production products for quality target
- Routinely inspect plant during running
- Report production issues regarding quality or process
- Monitor energy usage
- Perform maintenance and upkeep of plant, machinery, and site grounds
- Execute weighbridge duties and machine driving
- Comply with company QEHS policies
Requirements
- Background from a similar industry
- Mechanical or electrical trade experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of SCADA or PLC automated manufacturing plants (desirable)
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern including weekends and night rotations
