Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of high-volume solar cell production lines to meet demanding schedules
• Own end-to-end performance metrics including yield, throughput, cycle time, and cost-per-watt
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, specialists, and technicians in a 24/7 environment
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes
• Collaborate with supporting organizations to maximize line uptime and minimize disruptions
• Establish and monitor key production KPIs and deliver data-driven recommendations to leadership
• Champion safety culture, ergonomic practices, and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline, or 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position
• Ability to travel internationally (20%)
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in industrial environments with fumes, noise, and hazardous chemicals
• Willingness to work all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience driving yield and quality in complex manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience with solar cell production, thin-film deposition, or handling pyrophoric gases
• Experience in wafer fabrication, silicon packaging, SMT, battery, or chemical manufacturing
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, ESD-safe practices, and contamination control
• Experience scaling high-volume production in renewable energy, solar, or aerospace
