About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the plant's safety-first philosophy and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage shift performance metrics, production scheduling, and material planning.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
  • Motivate and develop a team consisting of 4+ direct reports and 70+ indirect reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs by identifying and implementing productivity initiatives.
  • Partner with the Quality team to reduce product rejections and address customer feedback.
  • Contribute to the management team regarding safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of 40 or more employees.
  • Proven experience in Project Management and/or Lean manufacturing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience or responsibility working with plant P&L.
  • Experience within the packaging industry.
