About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including workflow, assembly processes, and production metrics to meet targets
- Lead and manage manufacturing supervisors and production staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and execute production schedules and operational plans while monitoring KPIs and reporting to senior management
- Coordinate with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and product standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis to improve efficiency and productivity
- Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing management or supervisory experience
- Experience leading teams to achieve continuous improvement goals using Lean, Six Sigma, or RCCA methodologies
- Experience with multiple manufacturing processes for the assembly, test, and integration of electromechanical subsystems
- U.S. person status is required as this position supports an ITAR-compliant site
Preferred Qualifications
- Electronics assembly workmanship to IPC 610 Class 3; J-STD Space addendum preferred
- Knowledge of fabrication technologies such as brazing, welding, machining, SMT, or box build
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience, including transitioning designs into production
- Proficiency with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems, such as AX 2012
- Ability to manage complex project schedules within Microsoft Project
