Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all production department activities including receiving, batching, storage, filling, and packaging
• Coordinate scheduling and allocation of resources to produce finished products
• Ensure all products meet quality specifications and company standards
• Hire, train, and manage personnel in accordance with company culture
• Maintain compliance with all company and OSHA safety requirements
• Manage department operations within planned budgetary constraints
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and manufacturing sequences
• Review production reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, or maintenance problems
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimum utilization
• Develop or revise standard operational and working practices
• Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties
• Monitor suppliers to ensure efficient provision of goods or services

Requirements

• 5 years of production supervisory experience
• Associate degree in food science or manufacturing preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
