Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead all machine shop production activities, ensuring manufacturing targets are met to achieve site objectives.
• Oversee capacity planning, labor allocation, and workforce cross-training to ensure operational flexibility.
• Drive safety and compliance by implementing health and safety plans and enforcing 5S/housekeeping standards.
• Manage team performance through coaching, goal setting, and professional development.
• Improve operational excellence by monitoring KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), machine uptime, and OEE.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and CAPEX projects to increase throughput and capability.
• Manage production resources, including consumables, inventory of WIP parts, and overtime budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related STEM field.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production leadership, preferably within CNC manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and SPC charts).
• Proven experience leading change and driving continuous improvement using data-based decision-making.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
