Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of production in the Ponchatoula facility, including product flow and resource planning
• Design production plans tuned to project specifications and organizational goals
• Champion Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with executive leadership to enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Lead collaborations with Project Managers, Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering teams
• Provide leadership and mentorship to department managers and build a high-performing culture
• Optimize space utilization and production capabilities for custom projects
• Set and drive productivity goals and track key production metrics

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive experience in production management within a design/build manufacturing environment
• 4+ years in a management role
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Deep understanding of Build to Order (BTO) / Configure to Order (CTO) and final assembly of complex products
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle), Smartsheets, and Google Workspace
• Ability to pass a background check and participate in drug and alcohol programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with ISO 9001, UL 508A / UL 891 / UL1008, NEMA, and NEC compliance standards
• Experience in a "start-up" or "greenfield" manufacturing environment
• Experience manufacturing power distribution equipment and switchgear
• Expertise in process automation, robotics, machine vision, or AI-based automation
• Experience with multi-site production management and advanced capacity planning tools
