Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 15 employees across press operations, finishing, polishing, assembly, and quality control
• Oversee hiring, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions
• Work hands-on with manual machines and hand processes to maintain production flow
• Optimize material flow and resource utilization through all production stages
• Develop, document, and enforce accurate timing standards and production schedules
• Collaborate with engineering and CAD teams to transition designs into serial production
• Perform first-article qualifications and validate new tooling/processes
• Set and enforce in-process quality standards and lead material review board (MRB) activities
• Establish and enforce safety standards and protocols for the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct supervisory experience managing 8+ employees in precision manufacturing
• Hands-on expertise in machine setup, tooling qualification, and first-article inspection
• Experience with close-tolerance, multi-process geometric assemblies
• Proficiency reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documentation
• Strong track record of managing production schedules with multiple dependencies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with production tracking/MES software
• Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing
