About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish production plans and ensure stable operations, including quality control and yield management
- Manage manufacturing costs and raw material balances
- Optimize processes by analyzing equipment, quality, and process troubles and proposing alternatives
- Execute process tests and support facility investment projects
- Implement safety and environmental protocols in compliance with PSM, Integrated Environmental Act, Fire Services Act, and Chemical Control Act
- Propose and execute ideas for manufacturing cost reduction and process optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to graduate by August 2026 (or already graduated)
- Strong understanding of chemical plant process design, control, and equipment principles
- Proficiency in fluid mechanics, organic chemistry, and chemical engineering theory
- Ability to interpret P&ID, PFD, and HMB
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of certifications such as Industrial Safety Engineer, Hazardous Materials Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineering Engineer, or Professional Engineer Chemical Engineering
- Experience with process simulation tools including Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or PRO II
- Experience in data processing and analysis using statistical tools like Python
