About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on a wide variety of production, processing, and packaging equipment.
- Execute demand maintenance (DM) in response to unexpected downtime, material deviations, or safety concerns.
- Use CMMS to track time and parts used for maintenance tasks and recommend spare part stock levels.
- Participate in the development, installation, and redesign of capital projects and new equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide training to machine operators on basic equipment care.
- Communicate equipment and process performance issues effectively across shifts.
- Comply with all federal and state hazardous waste regulations regarding chemical handling and storage.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in electromechanical equipment maintenance, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, fuses, heaters, and limit switches.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Associate’s Degree.
- Working knowledge in industrial robots, industrial control systems, or low-to-high-speed packaging.
- Experience with plumbing, metal fabrication, industrial electricity, or equipment rigging.
- Completion of a formal technical apprenticeship program.
