Production Lead/Paint & Body (Firetrucks)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities for the Paint Department, including resource allocation and process flow.
• Oversee and lead a team of at least ten employees, providing regular performance feedback and training.
• Ensure quality control by performing checks on sandblasted and painted parts.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards, including hazardous waste handling, labeling, and storage.
• Drive continuous improvement through process updates, 5S reinforcement, and the development of Operator Instructions.
• Coordinate material readiness and production preparation to meet daily objectives.
• Complete administrative tasks and lead team meetings to ensure effective communication.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive paint application.
• Proficiency with paint guns, pot guns, mixing paint, sanding, and primer.
• Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees to solve problems and provide guidance.
• Willingness to work overtime at short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
