About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and environmentally sound operation and maintenance of high-hazard processes
- Lead the Purification and Oxidation (P&O) area to meet cost, quality, reliability, and productivity objectives
- Lead and develop Operations First Line Supervisors
- Develop short to mid-term area plans and organize team members for execution
- Provide direction to maintenance and technical teams to support site goals and improvement projects
- Champion best practices and continuous improvement through the Chemours Business System (CBS)
- Interface with maintenance and contract administration regarding work performed by site staff and contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or other technical field
- Demonstrated understanding of safety procedures
- Proven leadership abilities and experience working with diverse populations of employees and contractors
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex problems and drive results
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) within high-hazard chemical operations
- Experience handling highly toxic materials (HTMs)
- Previous line supervision experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience driving Lean manufacturing principles and production systems
- Familiarity with SAP/R3 modules for finance, cost management, and Work Management Process (WMP)
