Production Lead

Responsibilities

• Act as a working Production Lead to support a designated production area or cell to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor cell productivity and takt time requirements, providing hands-on technical labor to ensure scheduled indexing.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools including Visual Management, Continuous Improvement, and Standard Work.
• Report cell performance status, manpower variances, and production delays to the Production Supervisor.
• Work from technical documentation such as shop orders, playbooks, schematics, and prints.
• Champion and coordinate Continuous Improvement activities and Kaizen events within the work area.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new and transferred team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in alignment with 5-S philosophy and safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet all requirements of Manufacturing Tech Level II or equivalent.
• Proven work experience in the area of interest within the last 5 years.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Visual acuity required for machine operation and performing mechanical tasks.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, kneeling, and standing for sustained periods.
