Production Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production team members by assigning daily tasks and conducting shift huddles.
• Oversee production flow to ensure smooth movement of materials, information, and people.
• Monitor hourly performance using KPI towers, production calculators, and metrics dashboards.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and safety/6S protocols.
• Manage inventory levels, monitor raw materials, and communicate potential shortages.
• Train new and existing employees on procedures, quality, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and planning departments to resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency with production tools including MES, WMS, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for prolonged periods on the production floor.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in door hardware manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
