Production Lead

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the production function including facilities, team hiring, production layout, tooling, and equipment
• Own repeat manufacturing of products including assembly, integration, alignment, calibration, and test of optical ground station products
• Manage production planning, schedules, resource plans, and capacity plans to ensure timely delivery
• Establish and champion end-to-end quality control and production assurance processes

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience transitioning products from prototype to serial production
• Experience establishing and scaling manufacturing operations and workforce development
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, capacity, and resource planning
• Experience implementing manufacturing documentation systems and configuration control
• Proven track record of managing supplier and contract manufacturing relationships
• Experience establishing quality management and production assurance processes
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within photonics, optics, laser systems, or free-space optical communications
• Experience in telecommunications, aerospace, defense, or satellite industries
• Experience supporting low-volume/high-complexity production environments
• Experience building teams during periods of rapid company growth
• Ability to collaborate closely with R&D, systems engineering, and procurement
