Production Intern

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end production process including camera setup, lighting, and audio capture on the factory floor and on location.
• Shoot high-quality video using DSLR/mirrorless cameras (including Sony FX30) and capture brand photography.
• Edit and finish professional video content, including brand films, social media Reels/shorts, and product renders.
• Manage the full post-production pipeline: cutting, color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
• Support social media management across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn using Buffer.
• Assist with podcast production, newsletter creation, and various design tasks for marketing collateral.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional production, video, or content creation experience.
• Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and a deep understanding of manual settings (exposure, ISO, aperture).
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
• Working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and Blender for 3D/product work.
• Hands-on experience with lighting kits and audio capture equipment.
• Ability to work on-site in Detroit for approximately 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong portfolio of personally shot and edited video work or brand films.
• Experience with cinema cameras, cinema lenses, and gimbals.
• Proficiency in color grading using Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience producing content specifically for tech, defense, or manufacturing brands.
• Skills in graphic design using Photoshop.
