Production First Line Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline hourly employees to safely produce quality products while meeting daily production goals.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA, PSM, and company standards.
• Conduct safety observations, toolbox talks, and incident follow-ups.
• Coordinate equipment readiness for scheduled maintenance, including decontamination and lock-out procedures.
• Manage daily work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Facilitate Visual Performance Management activities and participate in quality and safety investigations.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, including overtime, operating supplies, and waste reduction.
• Perform routine coaching, line walks, and employee performance appraisals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 3-4 years of experience in an industrial or production-related role with leadership experience.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to hold self and others accountable.
• Knowledge of chemical operations and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment involving noise, PPE, climbing, and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an Associate's degree.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) training.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience in operations, scheduling, and planning.
• Experience with chemical industry emergency response processes.
