About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterile work and Inoculum activities, including cell thawing and cultivation in shake flasks
  • Conduct GMP-compliant In-Process Control (IPC) analytics such as pH, osmolality, viability, and cell counts
  • Manage laboratory equipment, including planning and executing qualifications, maintenance, and calibrations
  • Maintain meticulous paper-based and electronic production documentation
  • Support process and method transfers, validations, and the investigation of deviations (OOS/OOT)
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Train new employees on IPC and sterile techniques
  • Participate in daily production meetings and planning

Requirements

  • Degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related technical field
  • Multi-year professional experience in Upstream Processing (USP)
  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical production environment
  • Technical knowledge of cell culture, Inoculum, and IPC processes
  • Proficiency in performing process-related analytics
  • Experience with laboratory and production equipment maintenance and qualification
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken)
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and on weekends as required
