Production Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead an integrated group of engineers and technical employees in support of 787 production engineering.
• Develop engineering solutions to production deviations and improve the overall 787 production system.
• Facilitate communications with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain departments.
• Manage, develop, and motivate employees while establishing group goals and managing budgets.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Interface with airline representatives, regulatory agencies, and suppliers to resolve issues impacting aircraft build, test, and delivery.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale cross-functional project management).
• Willingness to work second shift, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aircraft production, ground operations, or flight-line operations.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team with a focus on mentorship and support.
• 1+ years of experience in Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
