Production Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead teams responsible for the development, sustainment, and continuous improvement of production systems, including Tool Engineering and manufacturing support
• Develop and implement business plans, organizational strategies, and technical approaches to achieve business outcomes
• Manage, engage, develop, and motivate employees while acquiring new talent to build team capability
• Provide technical oversight and project management guidance for equipment and tool engineering departments
• Maintain strong partnerships with customers, collaborators, and multi-functional teams across global Boeing organizations
• Contribute to productivity improvements through the use of Quality Management Systems and lean principles
• Provide regular updates on project progress, quality metrics, and technical documentation

Requirements

• 13+ years of professional experience in engineering
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management)
• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Production Engineering
• Deep knowledge of Tool Engineering and Equipment Engineering
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
• Experience with Equipment & Tooling Stress
• Knowledge of industry, military, and government specifications and standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within complex, multi-cultural, and multi-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English
• High proficiency with MS Office tools for preparing reports, presentations, and Statements of Work
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and partners to achieve departmental goals
