Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
• Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM) opportunities
• Perform process engineering activities including heat/material transfer and mass balancing
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for operational issues
• Manage bulk storage, production equipment, auxiliary systems, and utilities
• Track and analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data
• Identify, scope, and execute CAPEX and OPEX improvement projects
• Coordinate raw material scheduling, packaging, and shipment documentation
• Oversee vendor management and chemical organization per lean standards
• Manage over 36 bulk storage tanks and develop equipment handling procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical processing or water treatment
• Proficiency in heat and material transfer calculations and mass balancing
• Experience with data analysis, OEE tracking, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
• Experience with regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, DOT)
• Hands-on experience with bulk storage systems and chemical handling
• Proficiency in SAP, ERP, or comparable systems
• Experience with Siemens automation and control systems
• Advanced computer skills in Google Sheets, MS Excel, and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Certifications in PSM, Hazardous Materials Management, or Water Treatment Operations
• Background in supply chain management or logistics coordination
