About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
- Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM) opportunities
- Perform process engineering activities including heat/material transfer and mass balancing
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for operational issues
- Manage bulk storage, production equipment, auxiliary systems, and utilities
- Track and analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data
- Identify, scope, and execute CAPEX and OPEX improvement projects
- Coordinate raw material scheduling, packaging, and shipment documentation
- Oversee vendor management and chemical organization per lean standards
- Manage over 36 bulk storage tanks and develop equipment handling procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in chemical processing or water treatment
- Proficiency in heat and material transfer calculations and mass balancing
- Experience with data analysis, OEE tracking, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
- Experience with regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, DOT)
- Hands-on experience with bulk storage systems and chemical handling
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP, or comparable systems
- Experience with Siemens automation and control systems
- Advanced computer skills in Google Sheets, MS Excel, and Tableau
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Certifications in PSM, Hazardous Materials Management, or Water Treatment Operations
- Background in supply chain management or logistics coordination
