Production Engineer (University Grad)

Responsibilities

• Own and manage back-end services, including fleet management, infrastructure components for AI, and core services used across Meta.
• Write, review, and productionize high-quality code using industry-standard tools and AI assistance.
• Architect efficient, scalable systems to support complex applications and massive data deployments.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, scalability, efficiency, and performance.
• Debug complex problems in live production environments on some of the world's largest systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to establish system ownership and end-to-end understanding.

Requirements

• Experience coding in an industry-standard language such as Java, Python, C++, or PHP.
• Experience working with software, frameworks, and APIs.
• Experience with *nix environments (Linux, BSDs, or other UNIX-like OS).
• Currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RDBMS like MySQL or Postgres.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of internet service architectures (e.g., load balancing, LAMP, CDNs).
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Experience solving complex problems and evaluating technical tradeoffs.
• Experience working and communicating effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
