About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reliability and risk assessments of subsurface equipment and processes to identify and mitigate potential failure modes
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to monitor performance metrics and provide insights for improving asset reliability
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and other stakeholders to implement tailored reliability programs
  • Lead root cause analysis of subsurface equipment failures and develop corrective and preventive measures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding equipment design, maintenance practices, and operational procedures
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the performance of subsurface operations
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on reliability performance and improvement trends to management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of subsurface equipment and technologies used in shale and tight formations
  • Proficiency in using statistical and analytical tools to interpret complex data sets
  • Experience with reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse, CMG, or Petrel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in reliability, reservoir, or production engineering within the oil and gas industry
  • Expertise in shale and tight oil and gas assets
  • Proficiency in reliability engineering methodologies such as FMEA and RCA
  • Familiarity with programming languages like MATLAB, Python, or R for data analysis
