Production Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with global engineering teams to analyze well and field performance to drive production optimization
• Partner with cross-disciplinary teams (reservoir, facilities, wells, and operations) to identify opportunities for production debottlenecking and schedule optimization
• Proactively engage with stakeholders to address challenges, deliver solutions, and implement process improvements
• Conduct periodic assessments of field production system health to identify optimization opportunities
• Support operator teams with production planning, capacity enhancement, and downtime optimization
• Develop and apply data-driven or physics-based technologies for oilfield production optimization
• Perform economic evaluations for well intervention and stimulation operations
• Manage production data quality assurance, including measurement and allocation
• Mentor and develop the technical capabilities of team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum GPA of 7.0
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Production Engineering field
• Strong knowledge of inflow/outflow/flowline modeling and production well testing
• Experience in production surveillance, troubleshooting, and field performance optimization
• Proficiency in network modeling, facilities operations, and artificial lift methods
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis
• Hands-on experience with proprietary or vendor engineering analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering applications such as IPM (GAP, PROSPER, Resolve), OFM, or Hysys
• Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Matlab, C#)
• Proficiency in data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, SeeQ, XHQ)
• Experience with production database management (e.g., Energy Components, PI, SQL)
• Familiarity with digital oil field tools and workflows
• Previous experience in mentorship or team leadership
