About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute daily production surveillance for assigned offshore assets, including rate/pressure reviews and downtime tracking.
- Monitor well, system, and facility performance for subsea wells and platforms by trending key metrics such as rates, pressures, and temperatures.
- Provide engineering data support by verifying data entry accuracy, resolving gaps, and maintaining production data quality.
- Maintain and improve IVM dashboards and surveillance tools to provide routine views for stakeholders.
- Support waterflood surveillance and optimization by monitoring injection/production responses and identifying pattern imbalances.
- Collaborate with Asset Development, Subsurface, and offshore operations teams to document decisions and apply engineering workflows.
- Escalate technical issues and performance concerns to senior engineers with clear problem statements and recommended next steps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in production engineering, production operations, or surveillance/optimization support.
- Working knowledge of production engineering fundamentals, including flow assurance, well/facility constraints, and allocations.
- Experience using production data sources and surveillance tools (e.g., IVM, historian trends, or well test systems).
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends, diagnose drivers, and recommend actions for performance deviations.
- Proficiency with advanced spreadsheets, charting, and basic database queries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Offshore production experience.
- Experience with automation, machine learning, or basic scripting (Python, VBA, SQL, or similar).
- Familiarity with industry software such as OFM, Kappa tool suite, or IPM.
- Exposure to rate/pressure transient analysis.
