Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support to ensure the operability, reliability, and compliance of mRNA drug-product manufacturing and fill-finish equipment
• Lead root-cause analyses (5-Why, Fishbone) for equipment failures and develop corrective and preventive action plans
• Respond to alarms, OOS, and OOT events, performing product impact assessments and initiating containment actions
• Assist with commissioning, qualification, and validation protocols (URS, IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and modified equipment
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical technicians to diagnose and resolve failures in drives, valves, sensors, and control loops
• Liaise with OEM vendors for installations, commissioning, and technical escalations
• Support engineering projects through all phases, including design reviews, procurement, and installation
• Analyze equipment performance and CMMS data to propose improvements to preventive maintenance strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
• 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical or bioprocess manufacturing within a GMP environment
• Experience with drug-product equipment such as mixers, isolators, filling lines, or autoclaves
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, variable-speed drives, and pneumatic loops
• Experience assisting with CQV activities and drafting validation deliverables
• Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work onsite full-time in a 24/7 operational environment
