Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of work rules for handling and managing tire mold and tire bladder equipment
• Acquire skills to determine appropriate materials for repairing and maintaining production equipment
• Support inventory oversight of mold equipment and monitor repair/modification orders
• Develop and maintain productive partnerships with suppliers for mold repair requirements
• Investigate damaged production molds and research repair price quotes
• Maintain department documentation including mold blueprints and quality system requirements
• Monitor bladder cycles and develop strategies to enhance bladder longevity
• Support the development of training materials and application of 5S in storage areas
• Coordinate purchase orders and invoice approvals with functional departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science or learning major
• 0+ years of engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of mechanical design, repair, and maintenance methodologies
• Understanding of production processes and quality control

Preferred Qualifications

• Major in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering
