Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fabrication projects and ensure a thorough understanding of client project scope and specifications
• Provide drafters and checkers with necessary information to process pipe spool fabrication drawings
• Communicate with clients to resolve issues regarding scope, specifications, and drawings
• Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure quality work is performed in a safe and efficient manner
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop production improvement plans
• Diagnose production line problems and provide recommendations and training
• Establish safety procedures that prioritize worker well-being and minimize environmental impact
• Analyze production facts to make continuous improvement recommendations
• Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials and equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, ASME, and PFI codes and standards
• Familiarity with various metallurgies
• Understanding of non-destructive examination (NDE) methods, heat treatments, paint, and welding procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within the fabrication industry
• Proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE)
