Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and scale tooling for Managed Kubernetes and Managed VM platforms
• Collaborate with software engineers on resilient code practices and deployment reviews
• Monitor system performance metrics and analyze logs to enhance observability
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and root cause analysis
• Automate proactive remediation to resolve common errors
• Maintain high Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)

Requirements

• 3-6 years of professional Production Engineering experience
• Experience building Kubernetes platforms or Kubernetes controllers
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture and design patterns
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP
• Exposure to server-class hardware and provisioning
• Familiarity with observability tooling (logging, monitoring, alerting)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of infrastructure design trade-offs regarding network, storage, and RPC serving
• Awareness of information security best practices
