About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute daily fabrication tasks across carpentry, metalwork, printing, foam work, and painting
- Interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and design briefs for accurate fabrication
- Plan workload sequencing and flag material constraints to the Production Manager
- Perform quality checks at each production stage to ensure compliance with approved samples
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment and adhere to HSE protocols
- Coordinate with other trades for smooth production handoffs and assist with on-site installation
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on fabrication experience in event industry, fit-out, or scenery construction
- Proficiency in at least two workshop disciplines (e.g., carpentry, metalwork, foam work)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut lists
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, and workshop machinery
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD familiarity is a plus
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field preferred
