Production Drill Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate large rotary or percussion/hammer drills according to company procedures and standards
• Read and interpret drill pattern instructions or diagrams
• Measure drill holes and inspect drill patterns to ensure accuracy
• Bore blast holes to specified depths at designated stake positions
• Conduct daily safety checks and inspections of equipment before operation
• Monitor equipment performance and report any deficiencies following mine operating procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of production drilling machines
• Proven experience operating large rotary drills and hammer/percussion drills
• Ability to work day and night shifts on a 14/14 rotation
• Legally permitted to work in Canada
• Experience working at remote mining sites and in cross-cultural environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy equipment certificate
• Experience with Epiroc Pit Viper and drill models PV271, D65, or DX800
• Previous experience in open pit mining operations
