Production Designer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, email assets, and event collateral
• Resize, adapt, and version creative assets for multiple platforms and formats
• Prepare production-ready files for print vendors and digital distribution
• Support the development of marketing campaigns and branded collateral
• Help maintain and update The Banner Brand Style Guide
• Organize and maintain design files, templates, and creative asset libraries
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and newsroom teams
• Manage production schedules and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in graphic design or production design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of print production and digital asset preparation
• Excellent attention to detail and file management skills
• Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Portfolio demonstrating production design, marketing, or brand work

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
• Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or motion graphics tools
• Interest in journalism, media, or community storytelling
• Familiarity with design thinking or user-centered design
• Video editing or illustration skills
