Production Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing crew during the night shift (6pm-6am) to maintain a positive and professional work environment
• Set up, operate, stage, and breakdown production equipment and machinery
• Maintain a safety and quality mindset, following all established protocols and guidelines
• Troubleshoot operational problems, adjust machinery for malfunctions, and resolve first-level issues
• Utilize scan guns to complete transactions within the ERP system and manage associated paperwork
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to relay team performance and optimize production line efficiency
• Ensure consistent workflow by adhering to daily and weekly production goals
• Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures during equipment setup or troubleshooting
• Support the production line by assisting with tasks or projects as needed to cover absences or breaks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience operating industrial machinery
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to work the night shift (6pm-6am)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of machinery operation experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift or lift truck certification
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) interfaces
• Lock Out/Tag Out certification
• Prior experience in a food or pet food manufacturing facility
