Production Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safety and quality mindset following all protocols
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to optimize line performance
• Set up, operate, stage, and breakdown production equipment and machinery
• Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures during setup or troubleshooting
• Report safety, quality, and production incidents to management
• Utilize scan guns to complete transactions within the ERP system
• Support the production line by assisting during absences or breaks
• Troubleshoot operational problems and adjust machinery to resolve jams or malfunctions
• Lead manufacturing crew members to create a positive work environment
• Maintain consistent workflow by adhering to daily and weekly production goals
• Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure crew effectiveness
• Resolve first-level operational issues and escalate as necessary

Requirements

• Ability to work the night shift (6pm-6am)
• Ability to lead and organize manufacturing crew members
• Proficiency in operating production machinery

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience operating machinery
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with ERP systems
• Prior experience in food or pet food manufacturing
• Experience with PLC interfaces and associated computer systems
• Lock Out/Tag Out certification
• Lift truck certification
