Production Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing crew to create a positive and professional work environment
• Set up, operate, stage, and breakdown production equipment and machinery
• Maintain a safety and quality mindset by following all established protocols
• Troubleshoot operational problems, malfunctions, or jams and adjust machinery accordingly
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to relay team performance and optimize line efficiency
• Utilize scan guns to complete transactions within the ERP system and maintain accurate paperwork
• Ensure consistent workflow by adhering to daily and weekly production goals
• Identify bottlenecks and provide additional support or training to crew members
• Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures during equipment setup or troubleshooting
• Support the production line by stepping in to assist during breaks or absences

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience operating machinery
• 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift or lift truck certification
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) interfaces
• Lock Out/Tag Out certification
• Prior experience in a food or pet food manufacturing facility
