Production Chemist III

Responsibilities

• Bulk formulate complex diagnostic reagents, custom recipes, and intermediates in accordance with approved procedures.
• Lead and train team members on the manufacturing of medium to high complexity products.
• Plan, schedule, and organize product teams to ensure manufacturing deadlines are met.
• Complete production documentation and maintain quality records following GDP/GMP standards.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, perform adjustments to meet yields, and conduct variance reviews.
• Perform data entry, inventory control, and production data trending utilizing ERP systems.
• Serve as a primary technical resource or subject matter expert for various departments.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis, Quality Notifications, and implement Corrective Actions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Assist with generating new procedures and modifying product recipes or Bills of Materials.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in biological or life sciences.
• Proven experience leading teams or managing projects.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Word.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment with various materials and equipment.
