About the role
Responsibilities
- Complete packaging assignments, paperwork, and feeding machines/lines
- Assist with setup and changeover of packaging machines
- Retrieve raw materials from cooler and add product/packaging to machines
- Assemble, pack, and label boxes and load onto pallets
- Transfer full pallets to cooler using a pallet jack
- Perform quality checks and line inspections to ensure company standards
- Communicate deficiencies to other departments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in packaging or manufacturing environment is an asset
- Ability to work in a cold environment (2°C)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work graveyard shifts (approximately 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM)
