Production Art & Digitizing Lead

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all incoming artwork for production readiness across five decoration types
• Digitize and process embroidery designs at production speed for high-volume output
• Prepare file specifications for heat transfer, embossing, tags, and printing
• Enforce art quality standards and identify at-risk files before production
• Own and document Art Specification Standards and best practices
• Build and maintain a production file library
• Establish QC checkpoints and quality gates for each decoration type
• Mentor and train junior digitizers and production staff
• Manage external digitizing vendors and negotiate SLAs
• Track and report KPIs including rejection rates and turnaround times

Requirements

• 5+ years of embroidery digitizing and art prep experience in high-volume apparel production
• Expert-level experience with Pulse, Wilcom, or Hatch software
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for production-level file optimization
• Deep knowledge of embroidery machine constraints and stitch limits
• Experience with screen print color separation and DTG file optimization
• Proven ability to troubleshoot art production failures
• Leadership experience in mentoring staff and managing vendor relationships
• Ability to stand and walk the production floor for 8+ hours
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in art operations management or QA coordination
• Experience operating industrial embroidery machines (Tajima, Barudan, Melco)
• Experience with production metrics and KPI reporting
• Exposure to WMS systems and order-based production scheduling
• Proficiency in Spanish
