Production Application Support L2, Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce security controls aligned with SWIFT CSP requirements across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Support integration between mainframe platforms (IBM Z, Tandem/NonStop) and modern cloud-based services
• Implement monitoring and alerting across hybrid platforms using tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, and Grafana
• Drive DevSecOps and automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions through runbook engineering in AWS/Azure
• Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for production incidents to ensure operational stability
• Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, and vendor teams to support system migrations from mainframe to cloud

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Application Support Engineer within the financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of mainframe systems such as IBM Z or Tandem/NonStop
• Proven experience with SWIFT-connected platforms and secure network environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS and/or Azure
• Technical expertise in CICS, COBOL, DB2, and JCL
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Shell

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing hybrid architectures combining mainframe, distributed, and cloud environments
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices for mainframe workloads (zDevOps)
• Experience with observability tools like AppDynamics or Prometheus
