About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage new product introduction and production support engineering for specific product groups.
  • Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Provide technical support, quality testing reviews, and troubleshooting for production problems.
  • Maintain quality standards and provide technical decision-making support to factory floor operators.
  • Coordinate technical and quality activities, including the disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Implement new technologies and Poke Yoke methods to eliminate factory stock processing problems.
  • Monitor and report on Processing/Quality KPIs, such as waste and customer complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting product introductions and process support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other engineering software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cross-functional experience in engineering, quality, or supply chain.
  • Comprehensive experience in rubber or plastic production processes.
  • Specific experience troubleshooting rubber compound issues.
  • Experience working with international teams and understanding diverse cultures.
