Product Test Technician III

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, fluid, and electro-mechanical test systems
• Support development and implementation of test infrastructure, including test stands, fluid systems, and processes
• Fabricate and integrate test articles and equipment such as fluid panels, actuators, motors, gears, electrical cabinets, PLCs, and welded assemblies
• Collaborate with engineering to develop system upgrades, maintain documentation, and analyze test data
• Mentor and guide junior Product Test Technicians
• Travel to ICON job sites to support on-site testing, repair, and troubleshooting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates in mechatronics, mechanical engineering technology, or relevant field preferred)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or fluid system testing
• Strong fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Experience with mechanical tools, welding, fasteners, and gear assemblies
• Intermediate proficiency with PLC systems (Beckhoff Twincat preferred)
• Experience with pumps, AC motors, gears, air compressors, pressure vessels, and lifting equipment
• Welding experience (AC Aluminum, DC Steel)
• Prior experience in aerospace, military/defense, aircraft, or construction industries
• A&P license or technician certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme environments
