About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for priority products.
- Execute cradle-to-gate and cradle-to-grave Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) using ISO 14040/14044 methodologies.
- Improve data collection processes across functions and suppliers to ensure LCA/EPD inputs are accurate and traceable.
- Analyze life-cycle results to identify environmental hotspots and prepare summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive LCA and EPD documentation packages to support auditability and governance.
- Monitor evolving sustainability regulations, customer requests, and EPD program operator rules.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate technical data into actionable sustainability metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in product sustainability, LCA/EPD, or environmental compliance.
- Hands-on experience performing LCAs and/or supporting EPD development.
- Familiarity with ISO 14040/14044 standards and common LCA software/databases.
- Strong project management expertise, including planning and execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets to generate clear insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sphera LCA for Experts software.
- Familiarity with other LCA tools such as SimaPro, openLCA, or ecoinvent.
- Experience writing EPD reports following PEP ecopassport® requirements.
- Proficiency in automating data workflows using Power BI, Power Query, or similar tools.
- Experience with sustainability data workflows in Databricks or SAP.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP or Certified LCA Professional).
