Product Stewardship Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate-level Environmental, Product Stewardship, and Industrial Hygiene teams across North America
• Manage 2–4 direct reports and oversee departmental activities
• Lead responses to complex customer regulatory inquiries to ensure accurate documentation
• Interpret federal, state, and local regulations to assess business impacts and develop mitigation strategies
• Develop and communicate company guidelines, policies, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with senior leadership, legal counsel, and executive teams to address regulatory changes
• Influence cross-functional teams to drive technical and process improvements
• Represent the organization in industry groups and engage with regulatory bodies
• Coordinate activities with global counterparts and support sustainability initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
• 15+ years of industry experience in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, or product stewardship
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing professional teams
• Experience working with professional associations and regulatory agencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree such as MS, MBS, or JD
• Certified Product Steward (CPPS) designation
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
• Multi-discipline experience across safety and environmental functions
