About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in product stewardship, regulatory compliance, and toxicology.
- Partner with R&D and Business Units to "design in" compliance, sustainability, and safety during new product innovation.
- Guide technical work related to chemical assessments, product labeling, testing, and compliance validation.
- Ensure products meet evolving global regulatory and market access requirements as formulations and supply chains change.
- Translate complex regulatory and customer requirements into actionable plans for technical teams and business partners.
- Drive continuous improvement in stewardship processes, data quality, and automation to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing technical contributors or cross-functional teams.
- Background in product stewardship, regulatory compliance, sustainability, chemical management, environmental science, engineering, or toxicology.
- Strong execution skills with the ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a complex environment.
- Ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into practical business and product actions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across various functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, Sustainability, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting product development, chemical assessments, or regulatory submissions.
- Experience working with global regulations and multi-region compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Design for Environment (DfE) or sustainable product design frameworks.
- Experience improving technical processes, tools, or data automation.
