Product Security Engineer, Senior

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle, including identification, assessment, triage, and remediation tracking.
• Perform risk-based prioritization using applicability and exploitability analysis rather than relying solely on CVSS scores.
• Develop and maintain scalable automation for vulnerability management using custom tooling and AI-assisted capabilities.
• Manage the intake and triage of vulnerabilities across internal and third-party software components.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and incident response teams to recommend practical fixes and secure implementation patterns.
• Monitor external threat intelligence, CVE disclosures, and vendor advisories to coordinate response actions.
• Utilize vulnerability scanning tools, ticketing systems, and reporting dashboards to provide visibility into risk trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability in risk-based vulnerability prioritization.
• Solid understanding of secure software development practices and common vulnerability classes.
• Experience scaling security programs through automation or custom tooling.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++.
• Basic understanding of operating systems fundamentals (access control, permissions, processes, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in product security, vulnerability management, or application security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven security requirements (e.g., SDLC, CRA).
• Familiarity with Software Composition Analysis (SCA), SBOMs, and vulnerability metadata such as VEX.
• Experience integrating vulnerability management with CI/CD pipelines or engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with external threat intelligence sources and coordinated vulnerability response.
