About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle, including identification, assessment, triage, and remediation tracking.
- Perform risk-based prioritization using applicability and exploitability analysis rather than relying solely on CVSS scores.
- Develop and maintain scalable automation for vulnerability management using custom tooling and AI-assisted capabilities.
- Manage the intake and triage of vulnerabilities across internal and third-party software components.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and incident response teams to recommend practical fixes and secure implementation patterns.
- Monitor external threat intelligence, CVE disclosures, and vendor advisories to coordinate response actions.
- Utilize vulnerability scanning tools, ticketing systems, and reporting dashboards to provide visibility into risk trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability in risk-based vulnerability prioritization.
- Solid understanding of secure software development practices and common vulnerability classes.
- Experience scaling security programs through automation or custom tooling.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation workflows.
- Proficiency in Python, C, and C++.
- Basic understanding of operating systems fundamentals (access control, permissions, processes, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in product security, vulnerability management, or application security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven security requirements (e.g., SDLC, CRA).
- Familiarity with Software Composition Analysis (SCA), SBOMs, and vulnerability metadata such as VEX.
- Experience integrating vulnerability management with CI/CD pipelines or engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with external threat intelligence sources and coordinated vulnerability response.
