Product Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement complex security solutions across Cloud, SaaS, and Application security layers
• Build production-ready security automation using Python or Java to scale operations and reduce manual toil
• Execute security projects from requirements through deployment with minimal guidance
• Troubleshoot complex security issues in production environments through deep technical analysis
• Implement GKE security controls and maintain cloud security infrastructure using Terraform
• Configure GCP security services including VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, and IAM roles
• Execute API security assessments and manage vulnerability remediation workflows for containers and cloud environments
• Build security dashboards to track MTTR and control effectiveness

Requirements

• 5+ years in security and/or software engineering with a focus on implementation
• 5+ years of hands-on programming in Python or Java for building production-quality tooling
• 3+ years of hands-on GCP experience (GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, Secret Manager)
• Experience with container and mesh network security (Docker, Kubernetes, image scanning, SBOM)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting expertise in production cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification
• OSCP or comparable offensive-security certifications (OSEP, GXPN, PNPT)
• Experience applying offensive-security methodologies to defensive engineering contexts
• Interest in applied security research, such as vulnerability discovery or protocol analysis
