About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze application and system architectures from inception to release to identify vulnerabilities and integrate security controls
- Conduct regular security assessments and utilize AI-assisted testing to mitigate risks
- Mature the vulnerability management program and drive risk-contextualized resolutions in collaboration with development teams
- Provide continuous guidance to developers on secure coding practices and emerging threats
- Collaborate with incident response teams to provide targeted remediation suggestions based on the threat landscape
- Work with software engineers to automate SAST and DAST tooling within CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, or Product Security Engineer in a complex software organization
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or TypeScript
- Knowledge of security tools like Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP
- Deep practical knowledge of container security (Kubernetes) and securing workloads across major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Hands-on experience deploying and automating SAST, DAST, and CI/CD pipeline security tools
- Experience implementing AI to identify, validate, and scale security programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in the autonomous vehicle, automotive, aerospace, or defense sectors
- Familiarity with physics-based simulation environments or High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters
- Contributions to open-source security tools or recognized vulnerability research (CVEs)
